More than two decades ago, Jennifer Lopez served one of the greatest moments in fashion history and changed the way the internet functioned. We are talking about the Grammy Awards ceremony in 2000 when JLo attended the award show dressed in an iconic sheer green dress by Donatella Versace. It not only became a watershed moment for Donatella's career but also got immortalised with its own Wikipedia page, inspired engineers at Google to build Google Image Search and became one of the most enduring outfits in fashion. So, as we look forward to the 65th edition of the Grammy Awards ceremony on February 5 (February 6 IST), here's a look at this historical red carpet moment at the awards.

In 2000, Jennifer Lopez attended the 42nd edition of the Grammy Awards with Sean Love Combs and created a pop culture moment that is relevant even two decades later. The singer walked the red carpet in an emerald green and blue palm leaf printed sheer Versace dress. The chiffon gown's low-cut neckline, revealing central split and a dramatic train, had the onlookers watching in wonder. It became the most searched query on Google at the time and was the reason why Google Image Search was born in 2001. Keep scrolling to read our download on the iconic ensemble.

JLo's palm-printed Versace dress features a neckline plunging past her navel, sheer full-length sleeves, shimmering emerald gem embellishments on the shoulders and front, a front full leg-baring split, sheer skirt, and a long floor-sweeping train. She styled the ensemble with dainty earrings, a statement ring, embellished pumps, pink lips, smoky eye shadow, a puffy hairdo, glowing skin, and mascara-adorned lashes.

During an interview with Vogue, Jennifer Lopez talked about the dress and said, "The dress was provocative enough I guess, to make people really interested. When it blew open, everybody was like 'What's going to happen next?' Nothing. It's all taped down."

Additionally, to mark the 20th anniversary of the Grammy moment, Versace reimagined a version of the legendary dress for its Spring-Summer 2020 showcase at the Milan Fashion Week, and Jennifer Lopez wore it to close the show.
